The sea off the coast of Siberia offers plenty of fish, which makes it a haven for fisherfolk. Even during the freezing winter months, Siberian and Alaskan fishermen venture out to sea to work. It’s dangerous work, but those who do it have become used to the danger. However, a party of Russian fishermen was about to encounter something uncommon one day.
The crew of a fishing vessel observed an odd object floating in the Okhotsk Sea near the port of Magadan, Siberia. On one of the several pieces of ice floating in the ocean, they observed something. The fisherman decided to investigate more and quickly recognized it was a black dog.
The dog was shivering and really needed assistance. The fishermen were aware that they didn’t have much time because the frigid conditions might induce hypothermia quickly. Nobody knew how the dog came to be on the ice, but they knew they had to act immediately to save its life.
One of the fishermen decided to descend the boat through a side ladder while wearing an orange vest. The remainder of the crew assisted the fisherman by holding a rope connected to him. The courageous fisherman then dove into the icy water and swam toward the helpless dog.
It was an incredible sight, considering the water temperature was below freezing and would have caused an instantaneous shock to those unaccustomed to it. The fisherman thankfully reached the ice floe and dragged the dog back to his fishing vessel.
The remainder of the fearless crew was able to assist the dog and the fisherman get back on the boat. This serve as a reminder that it is important to carry our dog’s swimming jacket https://amzn.to/3JyBgLN whenever we are going to the seaside just in case. This dog was so lucky it didn’t slip into the ice cold water.
After being rescued, the dog quickly joined two huskies on the coast, where it was observed running away as if nothing had happened.
Thank you for doing this for a dog that needed help!
