Jada is a senior pit bull that has lived a horrible life. For almost ten years, she languished in a dark basement, devoid of love and care. When the authorities found her in Syracuse, New York, the dog’s body was riddled with scars and she had sores all over. She was very emaciated.
Shockingly, she also had a puppy by her side. The young pit bull was also sick and weak. Both of them actually had to be rushed to a clinic. And even though Jada was sick, she finally saw and felt the warm sun during her trip to get medical help.
More bad news
The vet was able to treat both dogs and they showed good progress after more than a week. But then, a follow-up check on Jada yielded discouraging news. It turned out that the poor pooch had an aggressive form of cancer, which had already spread to her lungs.
The diagnosis was grim, her cancer couldn’t be cured. When the rescuers got over their grief, they decided to make Jada’s life as happy as they could make it. A bucket list was created for the poor pooch. To help them tick off every item on the list, they shared her story online.
Emotional
Animal lovers from all over the planet were touched by Jada’s plight. They felt sorry for her and they wanted her to finally have a good life. No matter how short it would be now. They opened their wallets and generously contributed to her cause.
Jada lived with a foster family for the remainder of her life. Each day was a blessing and they gradually covered her bucket list. On the day she passed, she was surrounded by people that truly loved her and made her happy.
As for her puppy, she was adopted by a loving family and is now thriving under their care.
