When a person is admitted to the hospital, their pets are often left behind. Thus, patients hospitalized for a long time can lose their fur friends, especially when they have no friends or even family to care for them.
An animal shelter called Cincinnati Animal CARE knows how vital it is for dogs to stay with their humans through ups and downs. Thus, when a fur parent got admitted to the hospital, they ensured that the dog was not neglected. Their staff offered the dog transportation and the love she needed.
In Ohio, a patient was admitted to the hospital and did not know how long he would be there. He worried about his dog, who was left alone at home. Thus, the patient arranged for his dog’s accommodation at Animal ArkPet Resort, a pet boarding service. However, he did not have anyone to take the dog there.
Fortunately, a social worker at the hospital helped and contacted Cincinnati Animal CARE. The community support department of the shelter worked with the Hamilton County Dog Wardens, and together, they helped the patient’s dog.
A shelter officer picked the dog up and transported her to the animal resort as planned. But of course, he ensured that the dog received lots of love first.
According to Cincinnati Animal CARE’s Facebook post, their officer calmed the confused dog and even took her for a walk before bringing her to the boarding facility. And now, she’s just waiting for her owner to be discharged from the hospital.
Besides the animal shelter, the pet resort also deserves to be recognized for accommodating the pup despite the future’s uncertainty. According to the facility, their staff is providing the pooch with lots of love.
Hopefully, the patient will recover soon so he can be with his beloved dog again. But for now, it is just great to know that his best friend is under the care of good people.
