A dog named Pharaoh lived his entire life in South Los Angeles. He was born to a stray mother dog and raised on the streets. And despite his many struggles, he managed to survive.
Pharaoh was on his own for an extremely long time. He ate rubbish scraps and slept on the chilly asphalt at night. He never had a family, therefore he had no experience being near or being touched by people.
The dog endured a terribly difficult existence for ten years. Until a Good Samaritan contacted the local rescue organization known as Hope For Paws, however, this was the case. He had no idea, but it was a brand new beginning for him.
Lisa Arturo and JoAnn Wiltz, who are rescue partners, responded and went to the site. After spotting Pharaoh, they served him food in an attempt to gain his trust. When they noticed his eyes were hazy, though, they doubted he saw them or the food they threw on the ground.
The rescuers quickly concluded that the dog was entirely blind. They utilized this to their advantage and waited for the proper moment to capture him. Lisa successfully captured Pharaoh after pursuing him for some minutes.
The subsequent moment was chaotic, but the rescuers knew it would be worthwhile. They placed the senior dog in a cage and waited for him to calm down before transporting him to the hospital. They then transferred him to his foster home with Frosted Faces Foundation, a senior animal advocacy and rescue organization.
Before he was put up for adoption, the senior dog had to learn a number of things. However, he made a remarkable improvement and amazed his rescuers and foster companions. He got along well with people, and although he was not particularly interested in other dogs due to his age, he had no problem with their presence.
Pharaoh is now 15 years old and has a family, unlike in the past. He relishes his daily stroll in his new residence and spends the rest of the day sleeping.
