At 12 weeks old, Lucy got adopted from a pit bull rescue in Minnesota, by his parents. Five years later, as Lucy was resting on the lawn, a UPS man came to deliver a parcel at the family home. It was instant love between Lucy and the driver, Paul.

While humans have their saying that, “A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, Paul knew, a way to a dog’s heart was also through their stomach.
Therefore, he always carries treats in his truck to give to every dog he comes across during his delivery job. However, the love between him and Lucy was unique and special. Every day, they look forward to seeing each other.

Lucy’s Mum, Stephanie Heer, told The Dodo, “It was love at first sight.”
That, ‘Lucy can hear Paul’s truck when their windows are open, and she gets up and runs to the door to meet him. She goes on to explain that, when they walk in their complex, and she sees his truck, she runs as fast as her legs can take her and jumps into his truck for a cookie and lots of kisses.’

On days when Lucy’s parents are out, Paul still leaves a cookie on the box to let Lucy know that he is thinking of her. Paul loves Lucy so much, and he tells her how much she means to him. Their love and bond for each other keep growing with every visit. How sweet!
Lucy and Paul had a good start in their relationship, and in five years, they have formed an unbreakable bond between them. Her family always orders stuff so that the two can get to see each other more often.
They are real friends, indeed.
