A 6-year-old golden retriever is making headlines online. Meet Finley Molloy from Canandaigua, New York. He has broken a Guinness World Record.
So what makes this pooch so unique, and what Guinness World Record did he break?
To say that he loves tennis balls would be an understatement.
Finley can fit six tennis balls in his mouth at once! The current record holder is also a Golden Retriever named Augie from Texas. Augie can hold five tennis balls in his mouth, and he has been holding the record since July 2003.
A couple of years ago, Finley can only hold four tennis balls at the same time. But just like what they say, practice makes perfect, and as of now, he can hold six!
Finely’s parents, Cheri and Rob Molloy, are now trying to communicate with the officials at Guinness World Records. However, because of the strict requirements, the process to finally make it official will take a little longer.
So while the family waits for Finley to be officially part of history books for his tennis ball retrieving skills, the pooch is busy managing his Instagram account and entertaining his followers.
Finley’s adorable tricks and skills are documented on the account with more than 29,000 followers. Because of his funny antics, fans from all corners of the globe are praising him:
“Why are you so cute? Been following you. You made my day,” one fan commented.
“Awww, you’re so adorable. Just read about you and had to start following you,” another one said.
According to Finley’s owner, Cheri, he brings so much joy to the family, and she is so proud that Finley also brings happiness to people all over the world.
We can’t wait for Finley to break the world record with his unique talents officially!
