In 2001, Matt Prime decided to get a pet dog so that his wife, Angie, would have some company. Matt spends a lot of time at work, and sometimes he doesn’t even come home at night. So when he saw a sign near their neighborhood saying “Free puppies,” he did not hesitate. Matt knew that having a pet pooch at home would somehow lessen Angie’s loneliness.
They got a Labrador and Border Collie mix whom they named “Vicious” after they saw her dominate their friend’s dog. It’s a nice name, but it somehow strikes fear in people’s hearts. To prevent people from panicking, Angie just calls her “Vish” whenever they were in public.
Angie shared that as Vicious grew older, she became more mellow. But what they didn’t know was that even though Vicious no longer fought other doggos, she was still ready to fight anything or anyone that tried to harm her family. And unfortunately, that moment came one fateful evening.
That night, Angie was home alone with Vicious and their new puppies. Matt, on the other hand, had to spend the night at his workplace. Just when Angie was about to go to bed, she saw a shadowy figure from the corner of her eye. And when the dog mom looked closer, she realized that it was a cougar!
Angie saw that the cougar was about to pounce on her, so she protected her upper body with her arms, but luckily, the big cat got spooked when Vicious attacked it! Angie’s fur baby reverted to her younger self and chased away the cougar that was about to her mom.
Vicious was so determined to get this big cat that she even chased it outside! This had Angie worried, so she also chased after them. Luckily, Vicious came back home without a scratch. The dog mom only had a minor scratch on her leg, but other than that, she was fine. All thanks to this heroic doggo who was always ready to fight for her family.
