Meet Sasha, the Pitbull Hero! This dog has proven, her breeds that have carried a stigma as bad for centuries, deserve better after all.
Sasha and baby Masailah are only days apart and have been best of friends from day one. At eight months, the bond is even stronger.

Latana Chai, the mother of a 7-month-old baby Masailah, was at her home in California when something unbelievable occurred! Sasha was in the backyard with her owner Latana when she noticed; he was acting in a very unusual way.
The eight months old pitbull was barking so loudly that when She heard it, she instantly knew something was not quite right! The dog kept barking and banging the door in their backyard frantically and furiously. She quickly ran downstairs, opened the door to check on her babygirl Masailah. Sasha was in, in no time!
On looking up, Latana saw a cloud of thick black smoke and flames coming out of her neighbour’s apartment. The fire was spreading so fast and heading towards her house. She ran into the room where her baby was but, when she got there she saw the unbelievable!

Sasha had grabbed the baby by her diaper, pulled her out of bed and was with her in another room.
Mum found him holding the baby by the diaper. Well done to Sasha for being such an intelligent and caring dog.
Latana is so grateful that Sasha saved the baby and everyone. She explains to KTXL that, ‘if it were not for Sasha, they would have never known anything.’ That early warning bark saved the day. What a hero!
