Katie and Eric own an adorable Pit Bull named Chase. The couple shared that their beloved four-legged best friend has an odd alter ego named Carl. Katie said that Carl is the name of Chase’s alter ego whenever he is acting particularly strange or goofy. Katie admitted that she and Eric always see more of Carl than they do with Chase.
Eric believes, they do not think Chase is still with them because they always see Carl’s personality most of the time. Besides, he feels that Carl is there whenever their dog’s laying on his back, with paws up.

Eric and Katie shared that their dog sleeps like a human being all the time. Eric said, they know it is Carl whenever they see him lying on the ground, looking like a whale or a seal.
The couple temporarily foster puppies in need of a home together with Carl. They shared that Carl is the best big brother any foster dog could ever ask for, because of how patient he is with the pups.
Katie said that all their foster puppies tested Carl’s patience. The pups love climbing on Chase, and they even bite his jowls, but Chase does not mind at all. She mentioned, how proud she is, of how tolerant Carl is with all the foster puppies that arrived in their home. Katie said that Carl enjoys being with the pups despite how naughty most of them could be 24/7.
Katie admitted, they often forget, Carl is just Chase’s alter ego, but sometimes they worry that their dog might forget his real name. However, Chase likes his nickname a lot and responds to it. Therefore, they think it is okay to call him two names.
