Losing a pet is a highly traumatizing experience for both the owner and the animal. For dogs, being placed in an uncertain situation causes a lot of stress and fear. And, of course, humans tend to get worried not knowing if their beloved pooch is safe and in good condition.
For many people, their pets are family members. They are part of their lives already. Most would exert every effort to get their dogs back. The only good thing about it is the amazing feeling of relief and happiness owners get when they are reunited with their canines.
For one dog in New York, the feeling is the same.
Runaway dog
Bella is a little pooch that lives with her owners in Manhattan. Most of the time, she goes everywhere her dad goes. They have a strong bond and are virtually inseparable.
But this one time, the dog’s dad had to go to Florida for an important event. He could not take his pet with him because he would be very busy. His only solution was to leave Bella with his friend in Queens. Unfortunately, a day before he was to go home, his friend called and said the little pooch somehow got out of their home and ran away.
The pet owner was horrified. He said it felt like he was hit in the stomach multiple times when he heard the news.
Excited gal
The worried owner returned to New York as soon as possible and spent several days looking for his dog. Thankfully, with the help of friends, they were able to locate Bella. Someone found her and took her in. After a series of calls, a reunion was set.
Bella thought she was just out for a walk with the person who found her. Then, she saw a familiar face walking towards her. The dog quickly became excited and started running toward her owner. Her tail was wagging furiously, and she started jumping up and down once she got close to her dad.
