“I couldn’t believe it,” says a man who discovers why his alarm stopped waking him up in the morning.
Alexandre Lima recently found himself in a predicament that threatened to jeopardise his livelihood. Lima continued to oversleep despite setting his phone’s alarm clock to get him up in time for work in the morning.
Lima explained to The Dodo that, firstly, he assumed he was silencing the alarm while asleep.”
But, it so happened, someone else was doing it!
He discovered the cause of the problem that was causing him so much stress after almost one week of oversleeping, Thinking his alarm was failing to wake him up. Dory, his sweet pup, was responsible.

He woke up one morning long enough to capture the furry criminal in the act. Dory was licking the phone when Lima woke up, and he could hardly believe his eyes! The pup had silenced Lima’s alarm all by herself.Lima and his wife were both taken aback.
They recorded Dory’s remarkable new ability to explain the recent delays, on camera. “I told my boss, and he thought it was extremely humorous,” Lima said after showing him the video. “Aside from the shame of having to explain myself, I’m grateful I didn’t have greater troubles.”

Lima believes Dory’s reasons were far cuter than just switching off the alarm to get some extra sleep.
“She linked the alarm to our leaving the residence,” Lima explained. “We would have stayed with her longer if the alarm hadn’t gone off.”

Dory was to blame, but Lima, on the other hand, does not hold it against her. Lima has now figured out a remedy to the problem of Dory-caused oversleeping, for better or worse. He’s started putting the phone on a shelf out of reach of her.
Despite this, Lima seems unconcerned by his sweet dog’s attempts to disrupt his workdays. “How could I begrudge her?” says the narrator. Lima explained. “Just take a look at her. She’s quite pleased with herself.”
