In the Philippines, a Chow Chow named Mazey made it to the local news after her fur mom’s post went viral. AJ Castro posted about how her pet Mazey unexpectedly met a new friend while waiting outside a coffee shop.c
According to Castro, she needed to buy a drink from a coffee shop, but Mazey was not allowed to enter the premises. She hesitated to leave Mazey outside as she did not want to leave her alone. Thankfully, a boy named Rondel Sta. Ana approached Castro and volunteered to look after Mazey.
While inside the coffee shop, Castro checked on Mazey, and what she saw melted her heart. She saw Rondel touching Mazey’s paws and talking to her as if trying to tell her not to be afraid because he would be there for her. The scene was heartwarming, and Castro could not help but take a video of the boy and the dog.
To thank Rondel, Castro also bought a drink for him. She talked to the boy and learned that his family had been going through a rough time since the pandemic started. The boy frequented the mall where the coffee shop was located to ask people for food.
When Castro posted Mazey and Rondel’s heartwarming encounter online, it went viral. Several people commented that the boy looked genuinely sincere in caring for the dog. Many people also expressed their desire to help the boy and his family. Help poured in for Rondel as some sent him cash donations, while others sent clothes and other supplies.
Rondel and his family were overwhelmed with the love and support that strangers sent their way. For Rondel, everything became possible because of his new friend, Mazey. And though they met unexpectedly, Rondell will be forever grateful of Mazey and her fur mom. and they will remain to be good friends in the coming days.
