A German Police dog by the name Bruno was injured while pursuing a suspect. The K-9 put its life at stake, pursuing the perpetrator amidst gunshots and got shot in the face. The man was killed in the process, but the officers were unhurt. Thanks to Bruno, who saved the lives of the Police officers.
Bruno Made It Through Surgery
What happened to Bruno upset his partner RJ Young but, he was grateful that he saved their lives.
I mean, who would not feel distraught when their best buddy gets injured? According to him, “Bruno was shot before his very eyes, and it was a terrible experience to go through.” He told ABC News. The event “caused his entire world to crumble in seconds.

”Bruno was quickly rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to remove the bullet from his lung, which luckily, narrowly missed his heart!
Bruno had his lower jaw plated due to fracture. The operation was successful, and after two weeks, he was reunited with his partner RJ Young. What a sweet reunion that was!
The Amazing Reunion
The German Shepherd recovered fully from his injuries after six weeks of intensive care, but has now retired from police service. Officer RJ Young and his family adopted Bruno and said, “He is like a son to him, and he will be part of his family for as long as he lives.”

Officer Young got another partner, a two-year-old pooch called Yukon. There is always such a special bond between partners, and that which exists between Officer Young and Bruno will never be erased! It is great they get to spend time with each other and family members till death do part. Amazing story indeed!
