Who doesn’t want cuddles? They make you feel cozy and loved. And it seems, the same applies to animals. Cats and dogs always want to feel warm together, which is why you will usually see your pets snuggling.
There is another cute story of pets staying cozy together. And they somehow prove that the animosity between cats and dogs is not absolute. Two kittens rescued from a shelter found a pooch that they can lean on.
James and Jacobi find a cuddly friend in Pickles, a deaf dog. And their story will surely warm your hearts up.
The cats’ story
Earlier this year, Los Angeles’ Alley Cat Rescue received a message about two shelter kittens that needed rescue. The centre said that James, a white and grey cat, and Jacobi, an orange tabby, were quite sick. Despite falling ill, the rescue claimed that they were the sweetest.
From the beginning, the two feline bros were completely inseparable. They were always together even while they were recovering. People would see Jacobi constantly cuddling with his brother.
If one of them found a warm spot to crawl into, the other kitten would just go along. They love dogs, people, and of course, each other.
As both cats were nursed back to health, they then went to a foster home where a new friend was waiting for them.
Meeting Pickles
Pickles was a five-year-old dog who became the kittens’ new friend. He was deaf, but that did not stop him from being lovable. Just like his new kitten friends, he was also rescued from an uncertain fate.
Pickles loved cuddles and the people he would meet. Right after the arrival of the two kittens, Pickles already started cuddling with them. He even let James and Jacobi crawl over him.
The dog always had a soft spot for cats needing help. Even the quietest cat finds solace in the dog’s presence.
