When Jason Kraus saw an Instagram post about a senior dog who was up for adoption, it reminded him of their senior dog named Gibbson. Like this shelter dog, Gibbson was also found alone wandering the streets of Newark.
Since this dog was old and was covered in fleas and mange, his chances of getting adopted were really low. This is when Jason and his wife, Michaelina, decided that they wanted to adopt this new dog. They knew how Gibbson changed their lives when he first came into their home and they wanted to also give that chance to another dog.

They welcomed the new doggo home and named him Mac. Gibbson was excited to meet his new brother and they became best friends instantly. In less than two weeks, the bond that these two dogs shared was really wonderful.
Mac really seemed comfortable in his new home. Gibbson would always cuddle with him on the couch and make sure that he feels safe. Their hoomans are loving how their two dogs are getting along well and they couldn’t ask for more.
As time went by, Jason and Michaelina saw Mac’s real personality. This doggo is very gentle and sweet but can also get really funny when he is in a very happy mood. He makes all these weird noises that make him sound like a dinosaur. His hoomans would call this wacky Mackie.

Not only did Mac revealed his funny side, but he also started making physical changes. His skin and fur were now getting healthier and he can walk and run longer miles now. The fur parents are so proud of Mac for thriving after everything he has been through.
Jason hopes that people would also see and appreciate senior shelter dogs like with what they did to Mac and Gibbson. It’s very fulfilling to take a chance on these doggos and give them the life that they truly deserve.
