It is always hard to part company with a loved one, especially when the relationship is going so well. But sometimes, we have no control over what happens, and we find ourselves separated from each other.
Meet Pavlov, a street dog and Steven, a dog trainer prisoner who experienced just that. Pavlov was found wandering in the street and taken to the Animal shelter by the Animal Patrol.
Steven was in prison and became a dog trainer. Pavlov was taken there to be trained. He trained Pavlov, and they became best of friends. They lived, ate, played, slept and did everything together. The two became inseparable.
Two months into the program, Pavlov started making progress by obeying commands such as ‘Pavlov sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘come here’, surprising to Steven. Steven says he also started making progress, so they both benefitted each other.
Steven fell in love with Pavlov and wanted to go with him when he got released but was worried about whether he would have an accommodation to shelter both of them.
The two friends spent a long enough time together to get well bonded.
When he got released from prison, Steven got his life back on track and became employed as an Animal Patrol Officer, who is doing quite well.

However, Pavlov got adopted by Marina Tamar, who is taking good care of him. She reports falling in love with Pavlov the moment she set her eyes on him because the dog is super loving.
Marina and Steven became Facebook friends, and she often shared Pavlov’s pictures with Steven.
One day, she decided to arrange for Pavlov and Steven to reunite after years of being apart. The two had not seen each other for almost six years. It was indeed a joyous moment!
Reuniting with Steven was a phenomenon, says Marina. Pavlov remembered Steven and happily started playing around and with him.
Steven fondly remembers Pavlov wanting to sleep on his bed, taking all the space in his bed.
Marina would like Steven to be part of Pavlov’s life. Steven is ever so grateful for the lovely time they spent together and, the reunion just brought back all that joy.
