Most people would think twice risking their lives to save another, whether it be that of a human being or an animal.
Meet Darius Hall, a teenager who overlooked his safety to save a pit bull terrier known as Bebe, on route 134. Darius was on his way to the YMCA on one rainy day. As he was listening to music on his phone, something went wrong with his playlist which made him to stopped to sort it out. On looking up, he saw a truck hit the dog!

He cried out to the truck driver, “‘Stop! Stop!’ But the man just kept on driving. He had no choice but to run over and pick up the little pooch Bebe,” said Darius, without thinking of his safety. Darius tried stopping cars to help him take the dog to a veterinarian hospital.
On the other hand, Bebe’s owners, Bob and Terry Taylor were worried sick looking for her. According to the Taylors, Bebe has a phobia of thunder so, when she heard the sound, she got terrified and ran off! Darius was not aware of what was happening with Bebe’s family.
Young Darius managed to get Bebe to a veterinary hospital. His act of kindness touched the Taylors’ hearts, and they are forever grateful. Terry reports that “Darius got Bebe help within 30 minutes and that was a miracle. “It meant a lot to her that someone would care as much about her dog as she does”

The Vet called the Taylors to tell them, their dog was hit. They immediately rushed to the hospital and were told the bad news that, Bebe’s injury was severe and she was also paralysed therefore, she should be put down.
The Taylors were devastated over the news and couldn’t sleep very well over a couple of nights. However, they chose to bring Bebe home, and she miraculously recovered!
As Darius had seen Bebe before in the neighbourhood, he wasn’t going to stop by risking his life saving her, but visit her owners. His intention for a visit was to console them for the loss of their canine friend as he thought Bebe didn’t make it.

He said, “When he came over the first time, in his mind, he just wanted to be nice because he thought the Taylors had lost their dog. But, as soon as he got in, they were really happy, and he was like okay…he came in, and there was Bebe, sitting on the couch wagging her tail!”
